Research Reporting Guidelines

Journal of Current Medical Research  and Opinion encourages complete and transparent reporting of research so that readers can understand how studies were designed, conducted, analysed and interpreted.

Study-Specific Reporting

Authors should use recognised reporting guidance appropriate to the study design whenever such guidance exists.

  • Randomized clinical trials: CONSORT.
  • Observational studies: STROBE.
  • Systematic reviews and meta-analyses: PRISMA.
  • Case reports: CARE.
  • Diagnostic accuracy studies: STARD.
  • Prediction-model studies: relevant recognised prediction-model reporting guidance.
  • Animal studies: appropriate recognised animal-research reporting guidance.

Reporting Checklists

Editors may request an appropriate reporting checklist or flow diagram when this assists evaluation of completeness and transparency.

Methods and Outcomes

Authors should report eligibility criteria, outcomes, interventions, analytical methods and protocol deviations sufficiently clearly to permit critical assessment.

Negative and Inconclusive Results

Scientifically valid research should not be presented misleadingly merely because results are negative, neutral or statistically inconclusive. Conclusions should reflect the evidence rather than the desired outcome.

Reporting Does Not Replace Scientific Quality

Compliance with a reporting checklist improves transparency but does not by itself establish methodological validity or guarantee publication.
