Editorial Independence

Journal of Current Medical Research  and Opinion is committed to preserving the independence of editorial decision-making from financial, commercial, institutional and personal influence.

Scientific Decision-Making

Editorial decisions are based on factors relevant to scholarly publication, including originality, methodological quality, ethical acceptability, scientific validity, clarity, relevance to the journal scope and contribution to clinical or therapeutic knowledge.

Independence from Publication Charges

The standard Article Processing Charge of USD 160 applies only to accepted articles. An author's ability to pay, request for a waiver or payment status must not determine whether a manuscript is sent for review, accepted or rejected.

Publisher and Editorial Roles

The publisher supports journal administration and publishing infrastructure but should not interfere with individual scientific decisions. Editors retain responsibility for determining whether submitted scholarly content satisfies the journal's editorial standards.

Editorial Conflicts

An editor with a personal, professional, financial or academic conflict involving a manuscript should not make the publication decision for that manuscript. Responsibility should be transferred to another suitably qualified editor.

Submissions from Editors

Manuscripts authored or co-authored by members of the editorial team are not exempt from normal editorial standards. Such manuscripts should be handled by an independent editor, and the author-editor should have no access to or influence over confidential peer-review decisions.

Commercial Influence

Advertising, sponsorship, institutional relationships, publication charges and other revenue considerations must remain separate from scientific editorial decisions.
