Journal of Current Medical Research and Opinion requires transparent disclosure of interests that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the conduct, interpretation, review or publication of research.
Authors should disclose relevant financial and non-financial interests. Examples may include employment, consultancies, grants, honoraria, patents, stock ownership, advisory roles, personal relationships or other interests relevant to the submitted work.
All relevant funding sources should be identified. Where a sponsor had a role in study design, data collection, analysis, manuscript preparation or the decision to submit for publication, that role should be described.
Reviewers should decline or disclose assignments when personal, professional, financial or academic relationships could compromise or reasonably appear to compromise impartiality.
Editors should recuse themselves from manuscripts where they have a significant competing interest. Another qualified editor should oversee such submissions independently.
Relevant author conflict-of-interest and funding declarations should accompany the published article where applicable.
If an important undisclosed interest is discovered after publication, Journal of Current Medical Research and Opinion may publish an appropriate correction or take additional action when the omission affects confidence in the work.
