These instructions describe the principal requirements for manuscripts submitted to Journal of Current Medical Research and Opinion. Authors should also consult the journal policies applicable to their study design.
The manuscript should be presented in a clear and editable format with consecutively organised sections. The title should accurately describe the work and avoid unsupported claims.
The title page should provide the article title, full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, corresponding-author details and, where available, ORCID identifiers.
Research articles should include an informative abstract that accurately reflects the objectives, methods, principal results and conclusions. Authors should provide relevant keywords that improve discoverability.
Original research will normally include Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion sections. Alternative structures may be used when appropriate to the article type.
Methods should contain sufficient information to permit readers to understand how the research was designed, conducted and analysed. Statistical methods, eligibility criteria, interventions, outcomes and relevant software should be described where applicable.
Research involving human participants, identifiable human material or identifiable data must state the approving ethics committee or institutional review board and approval/reference number where applicable. Informed consent requirements must be addressed. Animal studies must identify appropriate ethical approval and welfare standards.
Prospective clinical trials should be registered in a publicly accessible recognised trial registry before enrolment of the first participant whenever prospective registration is required by accepted clinical-publication standards.
Results should be reported transparently, including relevant effect estimates, measures of uncertainty and statistical methods. Authors should avoid selective reporting and inappropriate interpretation of statistical significance.
Figures and tables should be numbered, cited in the text and accompanied by informative captions. Authors must have permission to reproduce copyrighted material that is not covered by a licence permitting reuse.
References should be accurate, relevant and sufficient to support the manuscript. Citation manipulation, unnecessary self-citation and citation of sources that have not been consulted are unacceptable.
Authors should include a data availability statement explaining where supporting data may be accessed or, when data cannot be shared, the ethical, legal, privacy or confidentiality reason for the restriction.
All sources of financial support and relevant competing interests must be disclosed. The role of a funder in study design, analysis, manuscript preparation or publication decisions should be stated when relevant.
Authors should describe individual contributions to the work. Journal of Current Medical Research and Opinion encourages transparent contributor statements based on recognised contributor-role practices.
Generative AI and AI-assisted tools cannot qualify as authors. Authors remain responsible for all submitted material and must disclose substantive use of such technologies in accordance with the Journal of Current Medical Research and Opinion AI Policy.
