Journal of Current Medical Research and Opinion encourages research practices that permit readers, reviewers and other researchers to understand how reported findings were produced and, where appropriate, to reproduce or independently evaluate them.
Authors should describe study design, participant selection, interventions, measurements, analytical procedures and statistical methods with sufficient clarity for scientific assessment.
Authors should provide a data availability statement and make supporting data accessible when ethical, legal, contractual and privacy considerations permit.
For studies where prospective protocols or statistical analysis plans are relevant, authors should identify these materials or make them available when appropriate.
When custom software or analytical code is essential to the principal results, authors are encouraged to provide sufficient information about the software, version and analytical procedures to support reproducibility.
Statistical methods should be appropriate to the research question and data. Authors should report effect estimates and measures of uncertainty where relevant and avoid interpretation based solely on whether a threshold for statistical significance was crossed.
Questionnaires, laboratory protocols, supplementary methods or other materials may be provided when they materially assist verification or reuse.
Reproducibility requirements do not override patient confidentiality, informed-consent limitations, data-protection law or legitimate restrictions on sensitive clinical information.
Editors may request underlying data or methodological documentation when reasonably necessary to evaluate the manuscript or investigate a research-integrity concern.
