Peer Review Policy

Peer review is a central component of quality control at Journal of Current Medical Research and Opinion. Its purpose is to assist editors in evaluating the scientific validity, originality, methodological quality, clarity and clinical relevance of submitted manuscripts.

Type of Peer Review

Journal of Current Medical Research and Opinion uses double-anonymous peer review. Reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors, and author-identifying information is withheld from reviewers as far as reasonably practicable within the journal workflow.

Number of Reviewers

Articles proceeding to external review are normally assessed by a minimum of two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise.

Reviewer Selection

Reviewers are selected on the basis of relevant expertise, independence and ability to provide a timely and constructive assessment. Editors should avoid reviewers with relationships or interests that could reasonably compromise impartiality.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers should assess the research question, methodology, analysis, presentation, interpretation and relevance of the manuscript. Reviews should be evidence-based, respectful and sufficiently detailed to support editorial decision-making.

Confidentiality

Manuscripts under review are confidential documents. Reviewers must not share manuscripts or use unpublished ideas, data or results for personal advantage.

Competing Interests

A reviewer who has a significant conflict of interest should decline the invitation or disclose the matter to the editor before proceeding.

Editorial Decision

Reviewer recommendations are advisory. The Editor retains responsibility for the final publication decision after considering reviewer reports, author responses, journal policies and any ethical or integrity concerns.

Disagreement Between Reviewers

When reports differ substantially, the editor may obtain additional review, seek specialist statistical or methodological advice, or make a reasoned decision based on the available evidence.

Special Issues

Articles submitted to special issues are subject to the same quality-control requirements. A manuscript submitted by a guest editor or otherwise involving a conflict must be assigned to an independent editor.
